Three rabid Eagles fans… season ticket holders past and present. We get together each week and talk about our favorite pro football team in typical midnight green and silver style. Each has our own perspective on being a fan.
Eric and Chuck live in South Jersey and have season tickets together, and Todd now lives in L.A. We talk about the normal ups and downs, being a fan wherever you are, traveling to games, tailgating, being there, being away, the players, the atmosphere, the coaches and, of course, that dream.
EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles
Three Philadelphia Eagles fans that meet and discuss the Eagles ups and downs as only Eagles fans can... with sarcasm, blunt talk, passion and humor.
EaglesFanCast 80 - Free Agency Nothing
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
9 Mar 2010 at 11:39pmOur Philadelphia Eagles enter the 2010 Free Agency season not with a bang, a crackle or even a little hiss. As other teams scramble and write out big checks for star players, the Eagles organization looks within. They sign Jason Avant and Leonard Weaver, trade away Reggie Brown… and do not pick up anyone new. So far. This week we talk about how things are, how they appear, and some philosophical topics as they relate to the Eagles.
What we discussed this show:
Eagles cut favorite player Brian Westbrook a few weeks ago
Signings – receiver Jason Avant and fullback Leonard Weaver
Restructuring Stacy Andrews’ contract
Trade receiver...
EaglesFanCast 79 - Quarterback Hype
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
2 Feb 2010 at 11:43pmOur first real show of the offseason, and we go after the biggest thing right now, the Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback situation. With Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb on the team, it is pretty unanimous across fans and media alike that something has to give. All three of these players, it is believed, can start and lead a team in the NFL. The media has been relentless since the Eagles playoff loss to the Cowboys in their attempt to stir the pot and create rumor and speculation regarding Donovan McNabb returning for the 2010 NFL season. The general Eagles fan feeling is one of anger and predominantly that McNabb has...

19 Jan 2010 at 10:47pmOur Philadelphia Eagles end their playoff run quickly, and fail in
Dallas two weeks in a row, losing to the Dallas Cowboys 34-14, bringing
a frustrating and roller coaster season to an end. We talk about the
aspects of the game, bring up some of the disappointment, anger,
frustration, and questions that Eagles fans have after yet another
playoff run comes up short.
What we discussed:
Eagles lose to Dallas Cowboys in the Wildcard round of the playoffs, 34-14The lack of confidence in our QB contributed to the lossAnother major contributor to the loss was Andy Reidâs inability to adjustRumors abound that Brian Westbrook may retire from foo...
EaglesFanCast 77 - Blanked
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
7 Jan 2010 at 12:35amThe Philadelphia Eagles finish their regular season with an
embarrassing loss to the Dallas Cowboys, 24-0. At stake for the Eagles
was the number two seed, a potential home game, the East Division
title, and pride. The loss in this case was a huge disappointment due
to what appeared as a total breakdown on all sides of the ball and in
coaching. It shook fans, as this is not what we expected, nor wanted,
from a dominant team entering the playoffs, and now instilled quite a
bit of doubt approaching our first playoff game, against the Dallas
Cowboys. Jason from Bleeding Green Nation joins Todd and Chuck this
week for all the fun talk.
What ...
EaglesFanCast 76 - One To Go
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
30 Dec 2009 at 11:07pmThe Philadelphia Eagles had a big week, winning their sixth straight
game by defeating the Denver Broncos in Philly, welcoming back Brian
Dawkins and Correll Buckhalter, and seeing six of their players make it
to the Pro Bowl. But what is bigger than this week is what they have
coming up nextâ the Dallas Cowboys, the NFC East, and a first-round BYE
in the playoffs. We do our best to break it all down from the fansâ
point of view, and hear from other fans in the process as the 2009 NFL
regular season comes to a close in the Eagles biggest game of the
season. Hold on tight, everyone, our playoffs start this week in
Dallas!
What we discus...
EaglesFanCast 75 - Playoff Bound
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
23 Dec 2009 at 12:13amOur Philadelphia Eagles win their fifth straight game against the
San Francisco 49ers at home in snowy Lincoln Financial Field. Amid some
hiccups during the game, the team pulled itself together, and locked
their playoff spot, leaving only two games to play in the regular
season against Denver next week and finishing the season in Dallas.
What we discussed:
Eagles win over the 49ers 27-13Eagles Offense driving better than they were, and are much improved at this juncture in the seasonThere is still a balanced pass/run offense, and it continues to workThe Denver Broncos are a concern because of the potential of the Eagles players looking ...
EaglesFanCast 74 - Giant Sweep
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
15 Dec 2009 at 11:49pmThe Philadelphia Eagles travel up the New Jersey Turnpike for their
last regular season game at Giants Stadium, and in an epic
Eagles-Giants battle, win 45-38. Not only do the Eagles sweep the
Giants this year, but with the Dallas Cowboys loss earlier in the day,
the Eagles wind up alone in first place in the NFC East. All aspects
of the team contributed to the victory, and the team showed an enormous
amount of character in the face of a tough Giants Offense. Our
confidence builds as the regular season approaches the last few weeks,
and we can start to see the playoffs in our sights.
What we discussed:
Explosive Offense kept the Giant...
EaglesFanCast 73 - Dream Weaver
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
8 Dec 2009 at 11:00pmThe Philadelphia Eagles roll into Atlanta and destroy a depleted Falcons team with the help of none other than Michael Vick, who scored his first two touchdowns of the season with the win. The Eagles also move into a tie for first place in the division after the New York Giants defeat the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles do not have time to reflect as they will be driving up the New Jersey Turnpike this Sunday where they will take on the Giants for another extremely important game. We talk about all of this, handle a few emails and talk about where this Eagles team is at this point in the season. What we discussed:Eagles crush the Atlanta Falc...
EaglesFanCast 72 - Fourth Quarter Confidence
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
2 Dec 2009 at 12:25amThe Philadelphia Eagles post a second come from behind win in as
many weeks, defeating the Washington Redskins at home. This places the
Eagles with a 7-4 record, and hot in the race for the Wild Card.
Although we see flaws with the team and have serious concerns, we
explore the possibility of this team gelling and surging into the
playoffs. Now what happens when they get there is another story, but
anything can happen with this NFL it seems.
What we discussed:
The Eagles win over the Redskins and move to 7-4Can the Eagles be starting to gel and make a serious run at the playoffs?Eagles sign TE Brent Celek to a contract extensionThe Ea...
EaglesFanCast 71 - Green Fans
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
26 Nov 2009 at 12:43amA wild week for us as we had to bail on the Tuesday night recording,
then tonight didnât get any better as both Eric and Todd were not able
to make it last second. Good thing is, I had Luis from Green Fans â The Movie scheduled to come on, and we were able to talk at length about his movie and all kinds of Eagles topics.
What we discussed:
Luis talks about his 3-year project, Green Fans â The Movie, what
it entailed, what he learned, some of the players he interviewed, and
some of the multitudes of fansThe Philadelphia Eagles beat the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football, out in Chicago 24-20It was a win, but there were still a bunch o...
EaglesFanCast 70 - Eagles on Vacation
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
18 Nov 2009 at 12:13amChuck takes a vacation break, and weâre back after two weeks, and an
unfortunate two Eagles losses to the Dallas Cowboys and the San Diego
Chargers. We again try to figure out where the inconsistencies lie with
this team, and sort out the latest downswing and look at how the second
half of the season will play out.
What we discussed:
Eagles lose to the Dallas Cowboys at home 20-16Eagles lose to the San Diego Chargers on the road 31-23Eric feels that head coach Andy Reid should be goneInconsistency, injuries, penalties and coaching have contributed to an unsure seasonEmail from Jerry in Middletown, PAEmail from Aussie SteveEmail from Crai...
EaglesFanCast 69 - A Giant Win
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
3 Nov 2009 at 11:52pmThe Philadelphia Eagles bounce back from two disappointing showings
to trounce the New York Giants 40-17 at Lincoln Financial Field in
Philadelphia. The Eagles jumped out early, executed a very effective
Offense, harassed the Giants weapons, and never looked back as they
soared to the top of the NFC East. We break down what we saw, and
listen to other fans talk in emails and a voicemail.
What we discussed:
Eagles win by 23 over the Giants and move to the top of the NFC EastIt was complete domination from the beginning of the gameThe Offense ran the ball a lot more, despite not having RB Brian Westbrook in the lineupVoicemail from Brian...
EaglesFanCast 68 - Eagles Offensive Woes
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
27 Oct 2009 at 11:13pmThe Philadelphia Eagles come off a win against the Washington ForeRedskins
27-17 on Monday Night Football, and we couldnât be moreâ apathetic.
The Eagles Offense was disappointing, and the team did not play up to
the caliber that we expected after the embarrassing loss to the Raiders
last week. What makes matters worse is RB Brian Westbrook went down
with a concussion and might miss the next game. Donovan McNabb was off
again, the wildcat has mange, and the Eagles next play NFC East
Division rivals, the New York Giants. If coach Andy Reid does not fix
what is wrong, and quick, then the remainder of the 2009 season is
going to be a very ...
EaglesFanCast 67 - Raiders Of The Lost Cause
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
20 Oct 2009 at 11:38pmThe Philadelphia Eagles lose to the horrible Oakland Raiders in a
game that pretty much everyone thought was a lock for a Win. Almost
every aspect of the team contributed to the embarrassment, from
coaching, playcalling, tackling, passing, blocking and kicking. We try
to express some of what transpired since the game, what went wrong, and
our concerns for the future. Joining us this week is Cody Benjamin,
from the Eagles fan blog, Bleed Green.
What we discussed:
Cody from Bleed Green joins us, and we ask him about his siteWho is to blame for this horrible loss? It might be easier to say who is notAndy Reid shoulders the blame for this...
EaglesFanCast 66 - Welcome Back McNabb
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
13 Oct 2009 at 11:14pmThe Philadelphia Eagles take apart the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-14 in
Philadelphia this week. Quarterback Donovan McNabb returns from his
rib injury, Jeremiah Trotter returns to the team, and Jeremy Maclin has
a phenomenal game playing for the injured Kevin Curtis. The win wasnât
without some negativity, but the Offense put together a solid game and
helped Head Coach Andy Reid move to 11-0 after the BYE week.
What we discussed:
Eagles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-14, but although satisfying, it wasnât fun to watch throughoutThe game was frustrating because of the amount of penalties, poor officiating and just how bad Tampa Bay isWe ...
