Three rabid Eagles fans… season ticket holders past and present. We get together each week and talk about our favorite pro football team in typical midnight green and silver style. Each has our own perspective on being a fan.
Eric and Chuck live in South Jersey and have season tickets together, and Todd now lives in L.A. We talk about the normal ups and downs, being a fan wherever you are, traveling to games, tailgating, being there, being away, the players, the atmosphere, the coaches and, of course, that dream.
EaglesFanCast - Views on the Philadelphia Eagles
Three Philadelphia Eagles fans that meet and discuss the Eagles ups and downs as only Eagles fans can... with sarcasm, blunt talk, passion and humor.
EaglesFanCast 88 - Preseason Winds Down
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
1 Sep 2010 at 12:02amThree down, one last one to go. The Jets come to Philly for the last game, and we already know that any starters will get very little play time, if at all. So that leaves our new starting quarterback, Kevin Kolb, with no scores in the preseason. That sounds scary, but we agree that there is no need for panic.
There have been ups and downs so far, with a great hit by Asante Samuel, Vick’s usage with the first teams seems to be doing nothing but ruining their timing, DE Ricky Sapp placed on IR and questions about a few others’ performance. Most of what you have read and heard about this team so far is not very enthusiastic. Is i...
EaglesFanCast 87 - It Is Only Preseason
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
25 Aug 2010 at 12:11amTwo Preseason weeks down with a win and a loss. We have seen our starters play essentially three quarters of football so far, the coaches holding back their tricks and some shuffling in the lineup. Our first team Offense has yet to score a touchdown, and we have seen plenty of rust as we do every year by this time. The third game is only a few days away, and we will see more of the starters for most of the game. Shortly after, the team gets cut to 75 players.
The team is definitely faster, the Offense is having struggles as we would expect from a revamped roster and new leader, the Defense looks better than anticipated and now we have ...
EaglesFanCast 86 - Preseason Football Starts
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
10 Aug 2010 at 10:43pmTraining Camp for the Philadelphia Eagles is well under way in Lehigh, PA, and our Birds have their first preseason football game this Friday. The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Philadelphia where we all get to see the new team on the field for the first time. There is much excitement building for this season, and reports are racing out of camp about the players, position changes, a flurry of injuries, and status updates.
This week we mainly talk about this building excitement and a few of the things that we have seen and hope to see moving forward. We also talk about the toughness of the Eagles camp and how we like what we see buildin...
EaglesFanCast 85 - Training Camp At Last
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
27 Jul 2010 at 11:29pmWell we are finally back! After taking a few months off due to all kinds of reasons, we finally make our 2010 season return. Todd and Chuck chat with one of our newest site writers, Steve Brown all the way from the UK!
We talked about the start of Training Camp, the excitement of a new season, and touched on players such as Kevin Kolb, Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson, Stewart Bradley, Brent Celek and the newest Eagle, Nate Allen, among others.
With the departure of Donovan McNabb, leaving Kolb and Vick, Chuck raised the question about the Wildcat and it's presence (or lack of) in this year's Offense.
Still where we want to be:

EaglesFanCast 83 - NFL Eagles Draft 2010, Part 1
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
28 Apr 2010 at 2:03amPart 1 of 2
Tommy Lawlor of Scouts Notebook, Eagles Blitz and PhiladelphiaEagles.com joins us for our annual Post-Draft show. With Tommy’s extensive insight, we break down how the Eagles Draft went down, how the new players fit in the system, the work the organization still has to do, and much more.
What we discussed:
The NFL 2010 Draft had great ratings and that probably means the new format will stay
DE Brandon Graham from Michigan was the Eagles first pick, and they aggressively went for him
S Nate Allen from USF was the second pick
LB Keenan Clayton from Oklahoma (4th round) might have real potential on this team
DE Ricky Sapp from Cl...
EaglesFanCast 82 - NFL Eagles Pre-Draft 2010
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
13 Apr 2010 at 11:00pmhe Philadelphia Eagles are just over a week away from the 2010 NFL Draft. This week’s show is all about that, of course. We welcome Tommy Lawlor back to EFC for the third year of this tradition. Eagles fans know Tommy from Eagles Blitz, his Draft expertise for years on Scouts Notebook, and of course from his work on PhiladelphiaEagles.com. Tommy always brings a huge amount of player and team insight to us this time of year, and he didn’t disappoint in the least.
We open the show with Tommy offering his opinions on the McNabb trade, then we hit the ground running. This year’s Draft is a very deep one, and we expect the Eagles to use the...
EaglesFanCast 81 - A New Era
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
6 Apr 2010 at 11:36pmWell every Philadelphia Eagles fan worth their salt knows what we talked about this week. It was the epic trade of our Quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Division rival, Washington Redskins. We discuss what the move means to the team, to the coaches, to McNabb, to our new starting Quarterback Kevin Kolb, and hit on many other topics relating to the team, the Spring Cleaning that has been going on, and the upcoming NFL Draft.
What we discussed:
Donovan McNabb ends his career with the Philadelphia Eagles and starts his new chapter as a Washington Redskin
Do the Redskins really get that much better? Yes, but how much overall?
Eagles...
EaglesFanCast 80 - Free Agency Nothing
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
9 Mar 2010 at 11:39pmOur Philadelphia Eagles enter the 2010 Free Agency season not with a bang, a crackle or even a little hiss. As other teams scramble and write out big checks for star players, the Eagles organization looks within. They sign Jason Avant and Leonard Weaver, trade away Reggie Brown… and do not pick up anyone new. So far. This week we talk about how things are, how they appear, and some philosophical topics as they relate to the Eagles.
What we discussed this show:
Eagles cut favorite player Brian Westbrook a few weeks ago
Signings – receiver Jason Avant and fullback Leonard Weaver
Restructuring Stacy Andrews’ contract
Trade receiver...
EaglesFanCast 79 - Quarterback Hype
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
2 Feb 2010 at 11:43pmOur first real show of the offseason, and we go after the biggest thing right now, the Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback situation. With Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Kevin Kolb on the team, it is pretty unanimous across fans and media alike that something has to give. All three of these players, it is believed, can start and lead a team in the NFL. The media has been relentless since the Eagles playoff loss to the Cowboys in their attempt to stir the pot and create rumor and speculation regarding Donovan McNabb returning for the 2010 NFL season. The general Eagles fan feeling is one of anger and predominantly that McNabb has...
EaglesFanCast 78 - In The Dirt
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
19 Jan 2010 at 10:47pmOur Philadelphia Eagles end their playoff run quickly, and fail in
Dallas two weeks in a row, losing to the Dallas Cowboys 34-14, bringing
a frustrating and roller coaster season to an end. We talk about the
aspects of the game, bring up some of the disappointment, anger,
frustration, and questions that Eagles fans have after yet another
playoff run comes up short.
What we discussed:
Eagles lose to Dallas Cowboys in the Wildcard round of the playoffs, 34-14The lack of confidence in our QB contributed to the lossAnother major contributor to the loss was Andy Reid?s inability to adjustRumors abound that Brian Westbrook may retire from foo...
EaglesFanCast 77 - Blanked
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
7 Jan 2010 at 12:35amThe Philadelphia Eagles finish their regular season with an
embarrassing loss to the Dallas Cowboys, 24-0. At stake for the Eagles
was the number two seed, a potential home game, the East Division
title, and pride. The loss in this case was a huge disappointment due
to what appeared as a total breakdown on all sides of the ball and in
coaching. It shook fans, as this is not what we expected, nor wanted,
from a dominant team entering the playoffs, and now instilled quite a
bit of doubt approaching our first playoff game, against the Dallas
Cowboys. Jason from Bleeding Green Nation joins Todd and Chuck this
week for all the fun talk.
What ...
EaglesFanCast 76 - One To Go
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
30 Dec 2009 at 11:07pmThe Philadelphia Eagles had a big week, winning their sixth straight
game by defeating the Denver Broncos in Philly, welcoming back Brian
Dawkins and Correll Buckhalter, and seeing six of their players make it
to the Pro Bowl. But what is bigger than this week is what they have
coming up next? the Dallas Cowboys, the NFC East, and a first-round BYE
in the playoffs. We do our best to break it all down from the fans?
point of view, and hear from other fans in the process as the 2009 NFL
regular season comes to a close in the Eagles biggest game of the
season. Hold on tight, everyone, our playoffs start this week in
Dallas!
What we discus...
EaglesFanCast 75 - Playoff Bound
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
23 Dec 2009 at 12:13amOur Philadelphia Eagles win their fifth straight game against the
San Francisco 49ers at home in snowy Lincoln Financial Field. Amid some
hiccups during the game, the team pulled itself together, and locked
their playoff spot, leaving only two games to play in the regular
season against Denver next week and finishing the season in Dallas.
What we discussed:
Eagles win over the 49ers 27-13Eagles Offense driving better than they were, and are much improved at this juncture in the seasonThere is still a balanced pass/run offense, and it continues to workThe Denver Broncos are a concern because of the potential of the Eagles players looking ...
EaglesFanCast 74 - Giant Sweep
by cstanleynj@gmail.com (Chuck Stanley)
15 Dec 2009 at 11:49pmThe Philadelphia Eagles travel up the New Jersey Turnpike for their
last regular season game at Giants Stadium, and in an epic
Eagles-Giants battle, win 45-38. Not only do the Eagles sweep the
Giants this year, but with the Dallas Cowboys loss earlier in the day,
the Eagles wind up alone in first place in the NFC East. All aspects
of the team contributed to the victory, and the team showed an enormous
amount of character in the face of a tough Giants Offense. Our
confidence builds as the regular season approaches the last few weeks,
and we can start to see the playoffs in our sights.
What we discussed:
Explosive Offense kept the Giant...
